Manhattan Business Hotel

The Hotel is not in center of town but close to some attractions. No one really spoke english where we stayed here. The hotel was close to the Metro stop Yu Garden Line 10. To get to your hotel exit the Metro stop (exit 4) Walk straight out and proceed to crossing the street (Renmin Rd). Continue walking straight along Henan S Rd about 50 meters and you will find the hotel (don't walk by it as it is easy to do) My regular review; - AC worked great - Wifi was strong and speed was good - Had plenty of hot water in the shower - T-Mobile service only voice in entire China. Rent a hot spot at airport for your china trip. Best solution - Plenty of Power plugs to charge phones - Towels were soft but at life expectancy - Sheets were clean - Bed was firm but comfortable - Room decor aged - Room was clean and cleaned every day -- Parking - Did not have a car do I don't know but the Metro was around the corner - Breakfast - None - Pool - None - Noise - quiet... good A little extra: Small convenience store two doors down from hotel. Down the block across the street there is a coffee shop. I would definitely stay here again.

I went looking for this hotel in July and it was no longer there. This hotel used to be my favourite because of the location. Just around the corner, there were a few street food stalls set up at night. The kebabs stall was my favourite, by far the best I have tasted in Shanghai. I was there looking for the kebab stall in July and couldn't find it or the hotel.

If you're in Shanghai at all you really want to be pretty central and close to the bund. This hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of the bund, yuyuan garden & people's park. The sightseeing bus passes right by (although the stop is at yuyuan). The hotel is clean & comfortable. Our room (216) was very quiet. This was probably down to the fact it had no window but we didn't mind at al as it was really easy to sleep being so dark & quiet. The staff were very friendly. The beds were comfortable. The only slightly off putting this was the fact that the rooms are rented by the hour (something we noticed at check in) and the odd morning/evening you'd get cards for "massages" put under the door! We noticed no other activities while there & loads of families seemed to be staying in the hotel so don't let that put you off at all. Just worth noting!
