Oasis Tower & Hotel Shanghai

The rooms had a funny smell. The food was terrible. I even had a nasty stomach bug after having breakfast at the hotel. The dinner was awful. I asked for a cab and they gave me a tube map. The receptionists were speaking only Chinese which made it very difficult to communicate Avoid it if possible.

Good hotel budget, close by temple town. Night life near the hotel is good, and lot of hot pots serving restaurant are also close by.

A perfectly fine hotel I got lucky --upgraded to an executive suite, which was of course super nice. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was fine. Service in the restaurant very fast. A couple of little roads across the street from the hotel offer authentic Chinese feeling, with little restaurants with the kitchen right next to the sidewalk. Hotel seems to gear mainly towards Chinese. Not so many foreigners there. I was always picked up by buses and taxis, so don't really have a sense of how the location is. It was close to the trade show at INTEX, where my conference was held.
