Ruitai Hongqiao

We stayed here in order to be close to a friend who lives nearby. I expected less from the reviews but it is a very decent place. Yes it needs some renovation but the staff were friendly, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable so we felt it was a good value for the price, especially as we have just come off a group tour where we stayed at some very upscale hotels that were really not much better than this. Our room was cramped with a king bed, if you don't need the king get just a double. It is the one place we have stayed in China that did not provide a robe and slippers but who wants to pay for those? Do not expect a fancy new place and you will not be disappointed.

The hotel looks old everywhere, corridor, room, bathroom. It seems several years has past since last innovation. The room is not big but standard size. Bathroom is a little tight. WiFi works slow but connects easily.

I had been here for 3 days and booking was done by my agent . Seeing the reviews I wasn't expecting what finally I conclude here . The hotel has pleasant rooms and aminities , though washrooms are little old yet don't mind staying here as it's quite economical in comparison with its class of hotels . Restraunt service is excellent .
