Shanghai Lanan Apartment

If you are looking for budget accomodation this place offers self contained serviced apartments that have a kitchen area making it a bit better than a hotel room for the same price which in shanghai means basic. Rooms can be under 200 RMB a night and go up to about 550 for their 'high end' apartments. Some good reasons for staying here and some not so good: good: location - zhongshan park - bang outside exit 7 of metro station, opposite cloud nine shopping mall located in a nice modern tower block has a washing machine, cooking area, microwave and a fridge free wifi affordable price for what it is not so good: rooms are outdated and the budget room is very basic most of the rooms are next to hair salons that are open late and play loud pop music with the doors open no cooking utensils provided aircon might not be working - check it before you accept the room rooms can overlook the metro line but higher up it isn't too much of a nuisance and stops at 11pm. the reception is on the 23rd floor. the building is next to what is called the China Unicom building. It has a car park underneath - 80rmb for 24 hours. For location and price this is probably the best value serviced apartment in the area.
