I have stayed at this hotel twice, with a girlfriend of mine for visits to Shanghai, once now in June 2009, and once back in March 2009. Both times we have gotten big rooms with twin bed, with neither bugs nor blood anywhere in site. The only bad thing is that there is some mold on the bottom of the shower curtain, and the curled up shower mat is black. But just don't touch them and you are fine. I have never stayed in a hotel room (i dont have to share a bathroom with no one, nor a bunk bed) for 260 RMB per room per night. In shanghai, this is a rediculous good prize!!! This is a GREAT price, especially when sharing with a friend. 5 min walk from the bund, no problem getting taxis. There is a conveniant store downstairs selling drinks, cigrattetes, noodles, toiletries and chips. I am going there for a 3rd time this weekend!

The hotel is in a good location - 5 min walk to the bund and 10 min walk to Nanjing Road although through a few dodgy roads! The rooms are quite noisy as it is near a main road. Our room was very damp and was in desperate need to redecoration and a good scrub in the on sweet bathroom. The hotel had a slightly seedy feel to it as well. The staff were pleasant enough but speak NO english so get a good map before you go.

I always very careful when come to booking hotel. I always logon to TripAdvisor to check on the reviews. At first couldn't find Bund Wave and went ahead to book for 3 nights stay. To my horror, the chinese name for Bund Wave is Yin Bo, looking at the enlarged hotel photo. Suppose to be 3 star but turn out to be only 2 star. Scarrrrry!
