The biggest issue with my stay was the room temperature. Despite adjusting the air conditioning, the room never cooled below 25°C, making it extremely uncomfortable both during the day and at night. I understand that it was very hot outside, but I have stayed in many hotels in similar conditions where the indoor temperature was kept comfortable. A good night’s sleep is one of the main reasons for booking a hotel, and unfortunately, the excessive heat made my stay quite unpleasant.

Been staying here off and on for the past 15 years. Alas, this is going to be my last trip ever. Once upon a time, this was a great option, especially for those wanting to stay near the Shanghai Expo Center. But the hotel is old, the service is lackluster, the facilities are outdated, and the hotel is a former shadow of itself. They've "sold" the East Wing, which means the hotel is only half the size now. As a Hilton Diamond, I wasn't recognized as such, and when I questioned about an upgrade, I was told I was given a higher floor....wow. The "executive lounge" no longer exists, it is simply the same as the breakfast room. The quality of the food is mediocre at best. Over a 5 night stay, I got extremely ill, because their air conditioning simply doesn't work. No matter what you do with the settings, it will not come under 25 Celsius. Keep in mind, outside it's 35 and humid. Despite complaining I was given a small fan that pushed hot air around the room. When I complained again, I was given a smaller room on a lower floor. Again, the AC never went below 25. The hotel is just too old, and there are much better options in Shanghai.

5 days in Shanghai for business. Convenient hotel with working access to SHG metro. Gym and pool were nice to keep up the sport during the stay. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast overwhelming in a good way.
