Jinjiang Inn Shanghai Pudong Xinjingqiao Rd

A comfortable stay. Stayed only for 1 night. Everything was taken well care of. The free airport drop service was good. They even gave a breakfast goodie bag early morning. The decor at the reception hall is very gorgeous. Would recommend this hotel for its service and proximity to Pudong Int. Airport. I got a good deal so was all the more happy.

To stay one night over when you have to be early at the airport It’s good. Rooms are big, clean so nothing wrong with. They have shuttle bus to airport every hour and approximately 20minutes from Pudong airport. Breakfast is a little Chinese orientated but that okay.

In Shanghai for <24 hours, the company booking my tour put me in the Vienna Int. Hotel for the night. I have mixed feelings. Read on for details. Located about 20 minutes from the airport on the free courtesy shuttle (with only one pickup an hour on a poorly marked van), the Vienna International Hotel (PUdong) is convenient to the airport, but not the city. (For this reason alone, I'm sorry I didn't stay closer to mid-town, but: it's a trade off.) The hotel looks/feels modern. The rooms are small but nicely furnished with a nicely sized flat-screen TV and plent of electric outlets and USB ports. The bathroom is stylish and modern. There is a hotpot to make tea, several types, but no coffee. The room was quiet, easily darkened and the bed comfortable. The WiFi worked well though you will want to have a VPN ready (here and throughout China) if you plan on accessing many U.S. sites (including Google, Gmail, Facebook, Instagram and the NY Times.) Negatives: For an "International Hotel", the hotel staff's English skills were barely adequate. Thank goodness for Google Translate (which did work.) There is no fitness center. There is a shortage of food options within walking distance. If you do decide to enter the city, it's far away. The shuttle is inconvenient and easily missed a the airport. Breakfast was included in my stay but I missed it, opting to find some local dim sum.
