Meixuan Business Hotel - Taiyuan

First of all, they do not speak nor understand any English and they require a cash deposit (equivalent to 3 nights in RMB for a one night stay) at check-in and do not take credit cards. These were not noted on the confirmation. It is immediately across the freeway from the airport but there is nothing close to it. The restaurant that is attached would not serve us dinner. The window in the room that we had was blocked by the outdoor sign. The shower flooded the bathroom and we had to use the towels to mop it up. We requested more towels and never received any. We booked through Chinahotelsreservation.com and they notified us of a "no show." We showed the reservation confirmation at check-in but they did not confirm with the booking company. There is a shuttle to the airport but if you do not speak Chinese they have no clue what your needs are.
