Haiyatt Garden Hotel Chengdu

When you arrive in reception you are a bit unnerved. The area is small and there seems to be a large crowd of people lounging in the small space available. However the checking in process is efficient and the rooms are large, well furnished and very comfortable. The location is very good with a metro stop directly opposite. The shopping centre nearby is very upmarket so quite useless if you are on a business trip. The breakfast was good, quite comprehensive and tasty. Really only the reception lets it down.

We stayed at the hotel for three days in July 2018. Our room has two double beds and a modern bathroom. The room was clean and room service was great. Although the hotel is located in the most popular place in ChengDu, but the room was quiet. All guests must use their room cards to access the elevators. The hotel is in-front of IFS, ChengDu International Finance Center, Just walk out of the Chunxi Lu subway station exit C, you can see the sign of the hotel. The guy in the information desk was very helpful. He told us how to take subway to go to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. We followed his information and took the subway to Panda Avenues station and switched to a shuttle bus from the subway station to the main entrance of Research Base. We also took a travel bus at IFS to DuJiangYan. We enjoyed our dinners at a few super good restaurants inside IFS.

Great location as near to subway station and Isetan shopping, foods are nearby. Hotel staff is generally friendly and polite but sometime knowledges of hotel facility need to be improved, breakfast is quite limited but still can be sufficient to filled stomach but if too late there’s basically nothing and Need some waiting time. Although At non smokers floor but still can smell sign of smoking.
