Sichuan West Wing

Positives: 1. The hotel is attached to Crown Plaza with which it shares restaurants and gym facilities and indoor pool. It is centrally located, accross the road from pedestrian shopping area. 2. Our room was spaceous, nicely furnished (altough the furniture looked dated) with safe, flat screen TV and fridge. 3. Free toiletries were provided. 4. Complementary bottle of water per person and kettle in the room plus tea and coffee. 5. Excellent breakfast - wide varierty of Chinese and western food available. Negatives: 1. Shower was dirty and so were the tiles in the bathroom. 2. Not enough lights in the room - it was very dark. 3. Very slow WiFi.

My wife and I stayed here one night in October 2018. It is downtown next to the Crown Plaza (they share the same entrance). Check in was easy and the staff friendly. WiFi is free (and password-free). Our room was reminiscent of a 2000’s Marriott, but with a smaller bathroom (see photograph). It did not have a great view as were were too low (2nd floor). Higher rooms likely have better views.

The hotel's rooms are diverse (size, prices an so on) but all of them are comfortable, clean and quite. Very helpful English speaking staff. Tianfu Square and Chunxi Street are within walking distance from the hotel as well as bus stops from which you can easily get to other places of interest of this ancient Chinese city. The hotel is located in one building complex with the Crowne Plaza, so one can visit restaurants, souvenir shops and all facilities located there.
