I booked this Hotel via Qantas Hotels. Unless you speak Chinese do NOT stay there. we were the only westerners and clearly NOT welcome. The room was dirty, the restaurants were so bad we went out to Star Bucks for breakfast and a Beer house for dinner near Marco Polo monument and from the list of available services most were not in our room or available - WiFi was almost no existent and only available for short times. Westerners stay away. The Bed was almost a board and very difficult to sleep on. We booked this as amid range hotel and this it definitely was not.

Once I was coming back from a business meeting and my client brought me to this hotel as it is right in front of the building where I stay. So the entrance is not from the main road but on an adjacent side street. As we entered the lobby hotel seem to be busy with conferences and banqueting. We walked towards the elevators and I notice the pictures of Chefs with medals and trophies I was expecting the food to be delicious. We ordered few dishes but not even a single dish served was anywhere close to be called edible. Walnut Chicken which is usually crispy, sweet & salted was soggy & salted. Dumplings were not steamed properly, duck was served cold. Chef should be really ashamed of the food he is serving there. By the way I saw Shark fin soup in the menu (Is it not banned ?) None of the staff speaks English, luckily my client was Chinese so I managed. Otherwise hotel is on a good location with train & metro station nearby plus the Italian village as well.

The hotel definitely has seen better days. The room was small and not very clean. In fact, the carpet was pretty disgusting. The linens were worn out and desperately needed to be replaced. The internet was free but quite slow (typical in a Chinese hotel). The breakfast was 36RMB and wasn't very good with very limited selections. The staff was inattentive but not unfriendly. I had reserved for two nights, but moved out after the first night. The location is not bad as it sits right next to the river and close to the East Train Station. I won't be staying here again.
