Jinwan was always our favorite hotel in Tianjin because of its great value, cleanliness and great location, but this time we found that we make a mistake to stay in this hotel. Hotel is totally different from our last stay. The room carpet is smelling, furniture shows some kind of old 60s style. Floors are broken everywhere, even lift carpet is so smelling and full of dirt, you cannot wait to go outside.Staff is not cooperative any more. Will not stay again here

Couple of time ago I had a chance to stay at Jinwan Hotel, actually this is my second stay. First time also good but this time more enjoyable as they have renovation work done, also make some changes in front entrance area. Overall nice staff with very cooperative people. If you want to stay with friends or family, it will be worth. Walking street is on 10 min drive. KFC, PizzaHut, Carrefour are on walking distance. Location is good. Surround by many banks and shops.

We chose the Jin Wan Hotel as it is in walking distance to most of Tianjin's attractions. Tianjin's tourist attractions are spread over a large area. Reaching any tourist attractions (incl. traditional Chinese and modern Western style shopping streets) is at least a 3/4 mile walk. The hotel is located on busy Nanjing Rd which makes it easy to catch a taxi or bus. We stayed in this hotel at around Chinese New Year in 2014 and 2002. The hotel must have been completely renovated in the last few years as it looked very different. The rooms were very clean, modern, spacious and comfortable. Unlike in many other Chinese hotels, the beds were comfortable and we did not feel like sleeping on a concrete slab. The furniture looked new and showed almost no signs of wear. The bathroom had beautiful tiles on the floor and walls and there was a clean carpet in the bedroom. The bathroom had a bathtub and, directly next to it a great shower. The water pressure was great. We were on the 31st floor and had a great view of the city. We could gauge the air pollution by looking out of the large windows. On days with moderate air pollution we could see very far and on days with severe air pollution we could barely see 1/4 mile. The hotel had free and fast and reliable wifi. We paid around US$60 per day without breakfast and about US$65 per day over Chinese New Year. We did not purchase Breakfast (50RMB per person per day) as there was a shopping center 1 block away with a Carefour supermarket and several Asian and Western restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful and the only negative is that some of the staff only speak limited English. Long story short: this is a very nice, centrally located and budget friendly hotel. We will definitely stay there again the next time we come to Tianjin.
