Hotel very well located, right in the city center. Hearty breakfast. Courtesy trays with tea.

Very large hotel with multiple buildings in an excellent location, 300 meters from the pedestrian area of Dali. Large and clean rooms, a bit old-fashioned. Comfortable bed and pillows Continental breakfast I would return

In truth, nearer to a 3.5 rating really but i've erred on the positive and will let you decide from my comments. Chinese-centric hotel (which is fine - it is their country after all). Some beautiful parts to the hotel as well as modern parts. It's easy to get lost in this hotel as it has several wings and numbered blocks. Very well located to explore this interesting city. Breakfast definitely predominantly Chinese (which I like anyway). Chinese food hot/warm & tasty and very varied. A few "European" style items. Strange "fried egg machine" which was a novelty and surprisingly good. Coffee had sludge in the bottom but it was tasty so just beware of the bottom of the pot. Overall it was acceptable and to be expected outside of cosmopolitan cities. Room was a good size had a bath and shower and the hotel do laundry if required. Unfortunately we were situated near what appeared to be Uni/College accommodation with one night of mass return of screaming youths at 22.30 and then departure 6am -7am. Nobody mans their bar (we sat with friends in reception seats and drank a takeaway wine from across the road. Gym was closed for refurbishment.
