Bestay Hotel Express Kunming

Had a layover at Kunming airport and this was a cheap but decent option. The employees did not speak English, but were very helpful with their phone to communicate and translate. It's not very big, and the taxi driver struggled to find it, so make sure you have the address at hand. The room was plain, but a private bathroom with shower for that price was well worth it.

Staff are friendly. Its a decent place for a budget traveller. Rooms are small and the towels they provide are the size of teatowels, but you've got TV, ac and wifi. The map downstairs is fairly useful re Kunming city and public transport around the area. The 919c bus route will drop off near the hotel, but to catch it back it back to the airport you need to go to Kunming station (forget what they tell you, the drivers go direct to airport from stn) Not sure who the other ppl were talking to but there was only one guy there who spoke reasonable English... handy to know Chinese, especially if planning to travel around using public transport. Lots of street food available as you walk towards guandu plaza.

Indeed it is just as it was described by other travelers. I just wanted to add to the address one image that might help the regular traveler finding it. It is a bit tucked in a inside road and previous address description took me to the wrong hotel at first try
