Kunming Dianchi Garden Hotel & Spa

Was here for 2 nights to attend a friend's wedding. The hotel grounds and banquet halls are amazing for weddings and intimate ceremonies as it sits within the shores of the Jinyu Lake The hotel has a mix of old and newly renovated rooms. The old rooms are really worn down as we could see as some of the other guests were unfortunate to get the older rooms. The newer ones are fitted with smart technology but are not completely furnished (our balcony had no furniture at all) Amenities were complete in the room and all other room facilities were working fine. Bed was ok and not hard so we could get a good night's rest. The hotel is also situated to the Dianchi lake and other scenic spots but some ways away from the Kunming city center and given the 50-50 chance that you get an older room - I would go for other similar rated hotels instead with a more consistent rating.

Surrounding area is kind of nice, especially hotel backyard. Room were old and a bit dirty. Breakfast was to be honest, lousy. Nothing to eat. If you like to see lake and thousands of people feeding seagulls, maybe this is for you. I Hotel receive full renovation, I can consider stay there also another time.

Large area for comfort on the inside & outside the hotel resort with beautiful scenery from every corner of the resort facing a clean lake. Fantastic location within walking distance to the big Dianchi Lake & Yunan Nationalist Villages & easy access to the famous Western Hill. Bus terminal to the city is just opposite the hotel.
