The hotel looks much nicer in the pictures than in reality. Its biggest advantage is the location – right in the middle of one of the most beautiful old towns we visited during our 16-day trip. However, as is common with many Chinese hotels, the rooms have no proper windows. Instead, there’s only a door that opens to a public corridor, which means it gets noisy early in the morning when people start moving around.
Breakfast was very poor, with no coffee available. Dinner was better – simple but tasty, with huge portions at a low price. In the end, the real highlight of staying here is the old town itself, rather than the hotel.

Hotel located, very close to the south gate of the old town. The rooms and restaurant are arranged around a pretty courtyard. The whole has a lot of charm .A number of rooms are arranged around a corridor upstairs. No hard separation on the corridor; so it is quite noisy. But we can't have everything.
Beautiful room with good bedding and a beautiful bathroom.
Good level of service and good breakfast.

This hotel is conveniently located on the main road, offering plenty of dining options if you prefer not to eat in the old town. The hotel's architecture blends seamlessly with the historic surroundings, making you feel as if you've stepped into ancient Wuxia (Kung Fu) world while walking around.
The breakfast provides a good mix of Western and Eastern cuisine. There is also a laundry room inside the gym for guests' convenience. However, the building is beginning to show signs of age, with some facilities—both in the rooms and throughout the property—feeling worn.
The new town is not far from the old town, allowing for a leisurely stroll where you can soak in the local atmosphere. Unfortunately, many of the streams had dried up during our visit, and the well-known water wheel was completely dry. I can only imagine how much more charming the old town would be with water flowing beneath the bridges and the soothing sound of streams accompanying a visit to one of the quaint cafés.
As noted in a previous review, the hotel is actually named Duofu Resort.
