Elan Inn Hangzhou Huanglong

this hotel was only just taken over by Hanting, so there is still some internal stuff there is being changed. the period during my stay was the winter period..... 1) air-conditioned could not set to the temperature to requested, it hardly even go above 15oC - they explained they are still under-going maintenance to change the air-conditioned 2) internet is horrible, first bad experience with Hanting hotel - they explained that they just change ISP, so may need time to tune 3) the bathing area seems to have a slight flooding issue 4) foreigners cannot check in - need help of my friend, reason they mentioned is that they are still new, and yet to apply for the system/license etc. otherwise, 1) their service is good and friendly. listen to my 'complains', and tried to assist as much as possible. 2) room is clean and spacious 3) near to the metro station - walkable distance for me, which can take the metro to the train station conveniently 4) supposed to be near the lake, but i did not have time to check that out, and probably too cold to sit by the lake to enjoy the view 5) walkable distance to the electronic mall (if you are interested). so, overall is good, but just need a 2nd review to see the air-conditioned is 'working' and that the wifi/internet meet the usual standard of Hanting..... note: although i choose the room by the main road, i do not really feel the 'noise' from the traffic, but this probably depends on individual.
