Xiaoshan International

About 3 star quality. Room is quite small, esp wardrobe & furnishings eg. are carpets are a bit old. 10 minites walk to MRT. Far and yet West Lake is reachable by commutation. Generally satisfied with week-long holiday. Managed a short trip to nearby towns like Suchou and Shanghai.

The Jinma International is located on the outskirts of Hangzhou, that being said it still has numerous shopping stores, mall and touristy things to do walking distance from it. The communication would be a problem but the people are very tech savy and you translators on their phone to communicate with you. They are happy to help with everything. The rooms are well sized and have all the necessities- the only thing we notice the airconditioner in our room wasnt working to capacity and it got hot and muggy in the room on the days/nights that it was warm. Also the hotel doesn't seem to be well soundproofed- you could hear the car noise all the time even though we were on the 15th floor. We loved the hotel breakfast and dinner there were excellent value and the people always tried to make us most welcome.

The room was okay and the breakfast was good. Travelling into town and West Lake fairly easy by subway but took 40 min. - one hour. Communication was difficult because no one could speak English. It took me an hour to check out and it never really worked out to everyone's satisfaction.
