Jinjiang Inn Hangzhou Genshan Road

A bit too far from West Lake, in need of rénovations, at least a 20 minute walk from the Subway, next to highways and a non pedestrian friendly surrounding. Friendly and helping staff, but in mandarin only.

We really had a comfortable stay in our room at Jinjiang. The room looked newly renovated and was really clean and in good condition. The hotel condition itself seems to be older and a bit less maintained looking from the outside but the inside was just fine. The staff didn't speak English at all but we were able to communicate using a translator on our intelligent phone. The downside is being a long walk from the subway station (20 minutes). The hotel is also located at a very busy intersection but at least we couldn't hear the traffic noises when inside our room. There isn't much to the neighbourhood but there a still a few local markets, restaurants and cafes scattered around. We didn't mind being away from the city so much since the room was so comfortable and since the cost of the room was so cheap. Definitely great value for your money!
