This hotel is just outside the downtown campus of Zeijiang Technical University. It is comfortable but as for many cities outside Beijing and Shanghai, language is a problem if you don't speak Chinese including reception at this hotel. It is situated on a main road with lots of buses and taxis so travel to the west lake is simple and by bus takes about half an hour. There are lots of nearby restaurants, and 2 bus stops away a very large Tescos. It is a least one hour away from the airport and well over 30mins from the main train station. The are now fast trains to for example to Shahghai. My trip was for business and this hotel was very convenient. The hotel is good value but not luxurious.
