Aristons Hotel

After a long journey of 12 hours I arrived in Bogota exhausted and decided to look for 1 hotel to rest, to be near the airport to get there fast. I made the reservation, in the photos it looked nice and well arranged, it offered breakfast included and the price I liked, plus it says it was close (or that thought), I took an uber and went. When I arrived, to begin with the address I was putting was incorrect, it was not at all close, then I went in and I was charged more than my booking was. He gave me the key to the room and it turned out the door was broken and there wouldn't be, he sent me to another room and the TV wasn't going, any helpful controls. Then I complained and told him to give me the money back and he said he couldn't do that, so I had to stay there. He sent me to another room better, and if I was better but there was no cupboard to hang anything and dirty sheets, I also had to ask for towels and toilet paper that was not there. The next day I went to breakfast and found a hair in my breakfast, so horrible. I have to stay for two days and what an ugly day. The hotel was in very poor condition, very bad service and dirty rooms and unhygienic. Of course I will never come back here and do not go you because it is not what it says in the photos or the address.

Over charged for a supposed guest that I had. When I explained I did NOT have a guest, they called me a liar and would not drop the charges. I disputed them with my bank, who agreed those were unfair charges. Even if I had a guest, who doubles the price IF you do have a guest? HORRIBLE OWNER, HORRIBLE HOTEL.

This is a beautiful renovation, and the sink stopper works. There is hot water and basic toiletries. It is clean. The elevator works, and a good breakfast is included. However you have to go up some stairs to get from the desk to the elevator, and there is no handrail to go down from the desk to the eating area. I discovered the elevator goes down to the eating area on the last day I was there. Lots of hard surfaces amplify noise in the hallways when you might like to sleep. There is flat screen TV on the wall, but I never turned it on. Wifi was extremely disappointing. It frequently worked extremely slowly or didn't work at all. The desk workers were very helpful for whatever I asked. Bogota can be quite cold, and an extra blanket was cheerfully provided, as were extra towels and toilet paper.
