Hotel Monserrate

The hotel is under refurbishment. The entrance and the lobby are in serious need of a revamp. The renovated rooms are lovely but they feel airless as you can't open the windows and there is no air conditioning

Although the hotel is a budget hotel they treat you like a 5 star location. Excellent service. Great people! Real pleasure! I have stayed a few times while visiting friends and never had a bad experience. Great location. Near the busses, near the shops..Everything

Although located in a r. ea of the downtown, this budget hotel has a very nice assortment of jacuzzis and sauna areas. Bathing suits are required, and since it is family oriented, there might be some young family parties. The hotel is in the heart of downtown and one must be careful after dark. Still lots of little shops and restaurants within a block.
