The value for money is completely fair. Located in the historic center, so you can walk to many (or all) touristic places of the place, you have to take into account that being the center there are markets, sales, drunks and that type of "typical" things that are in the center of any country of Latin America.
The service staff always looked after me well, light breakfast quite well. Very clean rooms to be a budget hotel, there is no hot water but you definitely do NOT need it because of the extreme heat of the city.
From my point of view it is a hotel that you should use if you want to basically rest, after walking all day knowing the city or Islands.
I left the hotel at 8am and returned at midnight, so to sleep I put five stars.
