Sanha Plus Hotel

It is a nice hotel, airy comfortable rooms, very good view of the bay, healthy and fresh homemade food, has good bar, pool for children and employees very collaborative with the tourist. I recommend it for families and those who go alone.

Super excellent service on all the place. All the personal are so great and helpful on everything. The chef, restaurant service are so great. I don’t have enough words to describe the excellent all the people are including transportation to the places with out envy extra charge. I will be really like to ask the people staying at this place to leave TIPS for the employees because is not charging on the buffet service provide to the guests. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL

When on vacation, some people like to stay in the middle of everything. Lights, people, action. My wife and I like it a lot less hectic even if it means not having all the luxurious amenities right at our fingertips. The Sanha Plus Hotel gave us exactly what we like. Located just a little ways north of the airport and about 4 kilometers south of Rodadero, it was easy and fast to get to after landing. The staff was very helpful in straightening out a big problem caused by Expedia with our pre-paid reservation and our room on the sixth floor was neat, clean and provided a breathtaking view of the ocean. Although listed as a three star hotel, I found that the services provided were far better than I expected. Complimentary breakfast – and not just a couple of rolls and coffee. Just about anything you would want to eat from delicious empanadas, to eggs prepared as you wish. Complimentary transportation – to the local beaches, Rodadero, and the nearest shopping mall. Pool – with staff ready to give you towels almost any time of the day. On weekdays, my wife and I had the pool all to ourselves and often felt like we were at our own private resort. Restaurant – delicious menu of traditional and local foods prepared fresh and always with a smile. Clean and comfortable air conditioned rooms – with gorgeous views, cable TV, mini bar, friendly and quick housekeeping staff, and an in room security safe. WIFI could be a bit stronger and more consistent over the course of a day. It worked well one minute and not the next. The only other possible constructive criticism I might add is that the room didn’t have enough hooks or towel bars to hang things on. There was one small wall hook in the shower and one wall mounted towel bar only. No place to hang more than one bathing suit or wet towel. Not a major problem, and easy enough to fix by installing more racks or bars. If you are a light sleeper, the roosters at the neighbor’s property might be annoying, but we found that turning the fan speed on the AC unit to’ high’ made enough white noise so that the crowing wasn’t obtrusive. Would have been nice to be further from the main road right in front of the hotel, but we were aware of the location of the hotel prior to making the reservations so it was not a surprise and the overall road noise wasn’t too bad in my opinion. If you need perfect silence, I would suggest you look for a place further away from a road. Over the years I have traveled quite a bit and have stayed in many hotels, but have to say that I have never been treated better, with more respect and friendlier manner than I have at the Sanha Plus. Their staff was incredibly warm, accommodating in every way, always smiling and ready to assist in whatever request my wife or I had. Special thanks to Alber (sp?) of the restaurant staff who always knew exactly what I needed for my breakfast, was quick to get whatever we asked for and made us feel as though we were part of his family. Wilmer (sp?), who’s responsibility was to drive guests to the various listed locations at specific times of the day went well out of his way to make sure we got to where we wanted to go, showed us places for specific purchases, and always made us feel like he was an old friend ready to make sure we had nothing but a good time while visiting his hotel. It is staff like these people that make a hotel stay something far more personal than just a spot to sleep and then travel on. Don’t know if future travels will take us back to the Santa Marta area, but if we do, we will definitely stay at the Sanha Plus Hotel again. Could not recommend a place better, no matter the cost.
