This is a good location, within easy walking distance of a mall with many restaurants, a supermarket, the beach. I took two day trips through the tour company, Go Colombia Nature and Travel, which were both outstanding. One was to Minca (mountains) and the other to Tayrona National Park (hiking, beaches). Jonathan, the agent at the hotel, explained all of the different trips and things to see and do in Santa Marta. His recommendations were on point. Both trips were fantastic! I will definitely be returning to revisit these amazing places. Great hiking, gorgeous beaches, waterfalls and wildlife.
