Hotel Buena Vista

I stayed in this hotel’s Trinidad Suite between September 7 and 8, 2024. The suite is cute, has good finishes, is comfortable and is soundproof. Breakfast is good and the staff is friendly but: 1. It is a suite with Jacuzzi and therefore has one of the highest rates in the hotel. However, the hot tub never worked. We called reception to request support, sent the buttons, who failed to resolve the situation and indicated that the last couple staying there happened the same, which supposes that it is a recurring damage, which has not been resolved. What is not understood is why they continue to sell a service that is not real, at least in this suite. 2. The water pressure in the suite is very low. So much so that the heater is frequently turned off by the low water pressure. 3. The heater has a permanent water drip while in use. 4. The air conditioning of the suite cools little and has a trickle of water that woke us up at midnight. 5. The batteries in the TVs are worn out, which made it difficult to operate the remote controls. We returned to this hotel because we had already stayed there in the Havana Suite and had had a pleasant experience but this time it was not expected. We kindly invite you to resolve these issues and if the suite is not in a position to offer what is promised in the Reservation, it is better that you do not continue to offer it as the price paid is not consistent with the quality of the service received. Stayed for 3 days, check-in was fine, access to suite was via lift to 2nd floor but the you have to traverse the building and then go back down a floor via stairs, while the porter did carry the bags, not ideal, no other access. The suite had a spacious living area, but the kitchen area had no functional equipment, and the bedroom was small and the bathroom very small, given the overall size of the suite these could have been bigger, the bedroom was the only room with air con, and it was noisy but functional on full power. There was also a fan in the main living area, but only half worked and very noisy. There were some hairs in the bedroom and the bathroom cold fawcett fell off in hand, shower unit needs deep clean. Given the budget is was OK, just need a better clean, however the two main problems were poor Wi-Fi which I needed for work, 2nd day it did not work in the morning so walked to another hotel to work. But the major problem is noise during the day and night, some windows are only covered by gauze to allow air circulation, but this means the street noise is very loud until 2 or 3 in the morning. There is a pool but cold and very small on rooftop. The restaurant is basic but functional, food is adequate and inexpensive, staff are friendly and nice. stay was ok but not best experience, I would struggle stay again.

Stayed one night - late booking due to flight cancellation. Very large room with a separate bedroom and kitchette - more like a mini suite. Lot of space for the price. Decor was a bit tired. Bed was comfortable but pillows rather firm and lumpy. Shower had warm rather than hot water. Resonable air con. Breakfast was OK. Small rooftop pool and gym although we didn't use. Surrounded by noisy bars although once bedroom door was shut didnt bother us too much. Was fine for short stay but probably wouldn't choose for longer term.
