Ecoplaya

The hotel is located in a paradise, facing the beach, with a lush forest surrounding it, across from Isla Bolaños, so on the beach you can see birds like frigatebirds and pelicans. All of this gives it an enviable tranquility and almost solitude. The rooms are spacious but basic, at least mine was, with comfortable beds, a TV, and air conditioning. The one we were assigned had a smell of dampness, as did the blankets and towels. The pool is very large; the water is somewhat cold, but that is typical of the place. The beach is not very swimmable due to the wind in the area. The breakfast menu is limited to 4 options; for me, that is fine. The facilities in general—rooms, pool, restaurant, reception—are aged, as it was built over 20 years ago and it seems that maintenance is minimal. Given the natural setting of the place, you can see crabs of at least 3 species, birds, insects, and we saw what appeared to be the tracks of a large feline; a hotel employee says that it is true. Also, in the room, a scorpion appeared in my son's shorts, so you have to check very carefully. My rating would be 3.5. Would I return? Of course.

We decided to take a day trip to explore the area as a family, and the location seemed very good, in addition to being a hotel right by the beach. The room was very comfortable, accommodating the whole family in one space but with some privacy. In the restaurant, María José served us exceptionally well and helped us with answers to all the questions we had about the area, beaches, and services. The service was excellent, not just from María José.

I loved the stay, the rooms are super spacious, with plenty of space in the common areas, and the best part is that it is in front of a beach that is like a pool; I am definitely looking forward to returning.
