Belmar

We loved this hotel. The decor and interior design is stunning, the views are incredible and the staff are so polite and friendly. The food at breakfast, the brew house by the pond and the evening restaurant are all fantastic. We enjoyed the hot tub but unfortunately one day that we wanted to use it, it wasn’t working which was disappointing for our daughter. We thought we would take a swim in the pond but once we arrived, it looked a lot less appealing than we expected but this wasn’t a big deal and didn’t ruin our stay here, I think it’s just good to manage expectations. Overall it was probably our favourite hotel throughout our trip in Costa Rica 🩷

My family and I have enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hotel Belmar this week. We stayed in the Artista Villa with one bedroom. The day bed and the couch made comfortable sleeping arrangements for our daughters (ages 13 and 11) with a nice hallway and door between the main bedroom and the rest of the suite there was plenty of privacy. We appreciated the thoughtful advice from Nohelia who helped us arrange our activities ahead of our arrival and the warm welcome and introduction we received from Alanso when we arrived. We enjoyed coffee tasting with Christopher on our first day, it was really interesting to learn some new methods for coffee preparation and the coffee from the Belmar farm is very good. We had a great time exploring the flora and fauna of the cloud forest with Daniel when we went on the Morning View experience in the Savia reserve. It was good to have a knowledge guide who was more than happy to share his wealth of experience and professional knowledge with us. We also enjoyed making mocktails with Diego during the Mocktails class, we made two really flavorful mocktails that I am looking forward to making at home. Plus, now my daughters know how to use a cocktail shaker. The food and service at the Celajes restaurant are excellent and we enjoyed getting to know the staff particularly Karla, Diego, Adan, and David. Overall our stay was amazing and I am looking forward to returning in the future.

If you are looking to disconnect from everything, this is the place. View of the Gulf of Nicoya, cloud forest, organic farm-to-table food, and service that truly makes you feel at home. I highlight the Jacuzzi among the trees, the Celajes restaurant, and the attention from all the staff. Sleeping here with the sound of the mountain is priceless. 100% recommended.
