Guesthouse Peter

We've been received with a rude manner by the owner (Peter) to start with. The room wasn't ready when we arrive at 16:00 hrs, the check out is at 10:00 hrs. Instead of making the bed they set up the sofa. It took three sheets to cover the bed and one of them was ripped, no bed cover. There was bugs all over the bed, pillows and sofa (see pictures and video). We couldn't sleep at all that night. There was moisture in the bathroom the toilet brush was absolutely disgusting. We asked for a refund but he said that if we put a negative comments he will not reimbursed us...threat. Kitchen was unsanitary. For 160.00 Euro you will find nice location but a terrible service and room. Avoid this place at any cost. Warning: DO NOT BELEIVE THE PICTURE ON HIS WEB SITE. Look at mine.

Hotels.com should not have this on its list, Other than the Location, there is nothing positive to say about this place. Owner was not there we arrived and were kept waiting despite giving 1 hour notice , room allocated was on the ground floor, at the time of booking I was not given a choice, Owner arrived in the afternoon wanting her money immediately only in cash, Room was damp our clothes were wet the next day hanging on an open rack not a wardrobe. We never saw her again, only heard her on the phone most of the time and singing, even though she lives at the top of the building.There is no private kitchenette, it is shared between 3 rooms, dirty dishes left in the sink, no washing liquid. Our Toilet had the wastepaper behind the toilet pipe with a plastic bag covering it, tocatch the drips as it was leaking, so floor was constantly wet, the tiles were cracked in the tiny shower room, only 1 small mirror in the shower room, which was impossible to stand in front of because of the toilet, no cold water in the sink, Bath towels are small. On the day we were to check out she had insisted when she took her money that we were to leave by 10am as she had other people coming, I said could we stay till noon, she said no, but no was there at 9.30am to leave the keys so we left the luggage in the corridor and came back at 4pm and the room was unmade so she lied. I could go on, Boycott this place, she is a disgrace to the Dubrovnik Tourism, she charges 90 euros a night daylight robbery, I hope she declares this money to the tax man!!!!, but asking only for cash makes you wonder!! The reviews are all old and none for the last year, so they must have had them removed.

I stayed here with my sis for four days , it was exactly what needed , 2 min from old town, close to restaurants, market. The room was ok, with a kitchenette, frigobar and clean, the only thing was that the bathroom door was broken and noticed that after and the shower was to low, for my sis was fine but not for me, for that its the 3 stars. But the host was really nice and she arranged taxi from airport pick up and drop off, upon request. I recomend this place if u are in a budget and need to be close to all the action in old town.
