Beautiful pools, great area to swim in the sea and fantastic setting. Really clean rooms. We had a lovely time here and facilities were luxury. Due to management, some staff appeared unhappy. The service industry is tough, it is important people are treated well by their managers and it made us feel guilty asking for things eg. coffee at breakfast, when some staff appeared stressed and unhappy. In addition, we got engaged and a family member had emailed the reception asking if there was anything the hotel could do to celebrate. You had emailed back (unknown to us) that there would be wine/ flowers in our room. This did not occur and my family member was gutted when we got back as she was more than happy to pay for it as she wanted us to celebrate the engagement while away.

This was our first time at Dubrovnik palace hotel and we had an absolute blast. We spent one week in one of the superior rooms, which was very spacious and had everything you could need inside it. The room was very modern and the best feature was the balcony. The balcony was lovely in a morning and in the evening watching the sunrise and sunset. We chose to go half board which was nice as it was a first time doing it and it gave us access to breakfast and dinner. Both meals were buffet style which catered well to my celiac wife. They also had different styled nights where you would have live music and food that matched the theme. We really appreciated how attentive the staff were and how friendly they were. Our only gripe per se with the half board was that in the morning you could get fresh juice, coffee and water all included. However in the evening you had to pay for the water and there was no other option other than paying to get a drink for the evening food. Now this isn’t a major issue just a weird choice by the hotel as I believe at least water should be free of charge for the evenings especially if you have paid for half board. This carried over in the rooms on our arrival we had a bottle of water inside the room and when they cleaned the rooms we expected that to get restocked however it never did. That would be fine had the hotel had water fountains or areas you could fill bottles up at instead however the only way of getting fresh water was to pay for either the minibar or room service. Moving on from food the facilities at the hotel were amazing 2 outdoor pools and a great area you could go swimming in the sea which was netted. We spent most of our time in the sea instead of the pool just because of our own preferences but we never noticed the pool too full or overcrowded. At the main outside pool you could swim up and get a cocktail or different alcoholic drink which was a nice touch. The hotel also had a spa area and a large indoor pool which was usually quieter than outside and especially in the evenings where we enjoyed a lot of late night swims. Finally the restaurants as lovely as they are in the hotel the prices are steep and that should be considered for guests who aren’t all inclusive as down in Dubrovnik you can get the same quality of food for about 10- 20% cheaper. The hotel was a very welcoming when we arrived as we’d booked the hotel for our honeymoon and to our surprise they had left us a note some flowers and a bottle of prosecco in the room on our arrival which was a lovely touch. We also loved our chocolate before bed which we looked forward to every night. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely come back our only improvement would be the drinks for the evening and rooms.

Amazing beach and an even better experience thanks to Jerko, the beach manager. He truly goes above and beyond for everyone, always putting in 100% effort to make sure guests feel welcome, comfortable, and taken care of. You can really see how much dedication and positive energy he brings every single day. His attention to detail and willingness to help make a huge difference. Jerko is definitely one of the reasons this beach feels so special. Highly recommended!
