Radisson Blu Resort Split

The spa, pool, and facilities were very nice and the staff was friendly. However, the sleeping conditions were horrible. We paid extra for a sea view. This is actually a view of an under construction tower, with the sea behind it. At eye level outside of our balcony was a construction worker break area, along with porta potty and associated sounds and smells. The noise would start at 6:45 am. And not just any noise- these were jack hammers and excavators that rattled the top floor room as they dug out a foundation for yet another tower. But maybe you’re thinking it’s fine if you are an early riser. Unfortunately, the beach clubs are also right there and you can hear the steady beat of house music and other revelry until 1 am. When you do have a window to sleep between 1 am and 6:45 am, you have to contend with AC that can’t keep up with the heat and an overly soft mattress. Our shower also didn’t drain. If you have to stay here, maybe consider a room with a pool view. I understand it’s a “third party out of their control”, but it’s not right for Radisson to be renting out rooms in that section of the hotel and charging people that kind of money while they know this is going on.

We stayed for a week in June. The hotel’s sunbeds are located on the left side, down by the sea. What they don’t mention is that this area is just 30 meters away from a large construction site where a new hotel is being built. At times, the noise was terrible; they were drilling into rock, and four excavators were operating simultaneously. It is certainly possible to rent sunbeds on the left side at the Mistral Club, but that will set you back 70 euros a day for two persons. We tried the hotel’s barbecue buffet one evening—something they really boasted about. I would recommend heading to the Old Town for dinner instead; you get much better value for money there. We had Superior rom with balcony. But we couldn't sit there sometimes because of birds nesting in ceiling. Everyday there was a lot of bird excrement on the floor we had to get rid of. Staff was very pleasing and service minded, an the hotel was overall a nice hotel. Be aware of A LOT of stairs to get to the beach.

The buffet was great, but the best part was definitely the service. Mr. Luka is very kind, attentive, and helpful. He makes you feel welcome from the very first minute. A 5-star experience, thank you so much!
