Villa Rustica Dalmatia

We've just returned from a truly wonderful week staying at Villa Rustica in Seget Vranjica. Our taxi transfers to and fro the airport were kindly organised by Ana. Upon arrival we were shown to our lovely apartment. Waiting for.us in the fridge was a lovely cold platter with local ham, cheese, butter and olives. We also had a bottle of wine and cold water waiting for us, lovely! The accommodation was superb. Everthing from the position, decor, layout, space, furnishings, air con, generous equipment, balcony etc were all exemplary. We stayed on the 1st floor of the Annexe, a few metres away from the main old building. The pool, sunbed terrace, sunbeds, Jacuzzi were spot on too. We really couldn't fault it. The location was very quiet, with views towards the little harbour and of the church on the hilltop in Seget Vranjica. The handful of restaurants and bars were all very good and reasonably priced. A couple of small supermarkets are located close by, one up on the main rd next to Pekara bakery and the other smaller one just up behind the restaurants on the far side of the harbour. The service was generally good. We booked a little boat trip down at the harbour with Lori Boat (lovely owner/Captain, called Mario). We went for a 2/3rd day trip to a small nearby island called Krknjaši Bay. He offers other trips too. He'd chat to us a bit about the surrounding waters and island history. You can also catch the water taxi to Trogir (very picturesque old town) from a jetty at the nearby campsite, called Amadria Park. A return for two was approx 24 euros (20/25 min journey). We also hired a 50cc and then a 300cc scooter from Scooter Trogir. Family run business, again very nice people, reasonable prices, good bikes with top boxes and helmets (35 and 65 euros respectively). We can recommend the Krka national park too. Stunning scenery and waterfalls. We rode to the Skradinski buk entrance (about an hour's ride/drive on the toll free scenic route from Seget Vranjica). The park can get busy and hot! There is a water refill station but it's near the toilets/end of the walk. Primošten is worth a stop too. Hilltop church in the old town and lovely old narrow streets with cafés and restaurants. Poljica and Marina both had nice small shingle beaches and a beach bar/restaurant too. Just 15/20 mins ride/drive up the coast. In summary, we can't recommend Villa Rustica enough and wish to thank Ana and her team for making our stay/holiday truly wonderful and memorable 😊.

Amazing villa. We stayed in one of the two bedroom villas and could not fault it. The quality of the apartment was amazing and spacious and had everything you needed including a washing machine and iron too. The owners also left food gifts each day which were amazing and welcomed.the villa had its own pool and towels wer provided for the beds. The location was also brilliant as just a few minutes walk to the village

On arrival (due to flight delay) the host waited. A briefing of the FEWO took place in the late evening. Everything was clean and there was still a snack in the fridge, very attentive. Regarding attentions, we were surprised with cold cuts, jam, fruit and cakes and even with lunch over the entire stay. Coffee pads were refilled daily. That was almost too much of a good thing. The beach / harbour is less than 10 minutes walk. Two supermarkets are in the immediate vicinity, a small market is easily accessible on foot. After bathing in the sea/salt water, "rinsing" in the pool directly in front of the FEWO is ideal. Even in the evening there was peace and quiet at the pool area. The children sometimes raging is tolerable. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Every morning everything was cleaned in front of the apartment and at the pool area. The FEWO itself was cleaned daily including fresh towels. The air conditioners did a good job. The narrow branch road from the main road to the harbour/beach past the main house is busy. Even the expressway above the house is not to be overlooked, but still acceptable. If the ISO windows are closed, you won't hear anything in the apartment. Parking in front of the apartment building can get quite tight.
