Apartment Alma

A group of girls, all aged 20, stayed at this villa. The villa itself was nice, clean, and generally met our expectations; however, our experience was completely overshadowed by the service we received from the hosts. One morning, we were abruptly woken up by the hosts banging on our doors and accusing us of bringing people back to the villa, which was completely untrue. During this confrontation, we were called “white trash hookers” alongside other derogatory comments, which was extremely upsetting and inappropriate. Once the host realised that nobody else was staying with us other than the guests who had booked and paid to be there, she apologised. However, this did not undo what had happened. Throughout the rest of our stay, both the host and her husband repeatedly came around to the villa almost daily, which made us feel very uncomfortable and uneasy. At times her husband would come to check on us while we were relaxing around the villa in bikinis or casual holiday clothing, which felt intrusive and unnecessary. Although the host gave us sweets and ankle bracelets when we left, this did not make up for the way we were treated. The behaviour displayed was unprofessional and unacceptable. Being shouted at, insulted, and made to feel uncomfortable during a holiday is not something any guests should experience.

We have just spent a week at this charming apartment (double room) and were so impressed with everything. Alma’s attention to detail was next to none in making our stay perfect, down to the toiletries, beach towels and delicious chocolates, bubbles and wine. In a quiet location within minutes of the old town, beaches and harbour. Alma was also helpful in answering queries for places to visit and transport options Highly recommend!

Everything about our stay at Alma's was perfect. The apartment is perfectly located in a quiet residential area a few minutes walk from the harbour and the old city. The apartment was spotless, had everything we needed for our short stay, and had a beautiful courtyard and terraces. Alma has been so thoughtful, from her warm welcome, wine and more on arrival and prosecco and chocolates at the end of our stay, to all the careful, thoughtful provisions in the apartment - wonderful! We would not hesitate to recommend to all.
