The staff are amazing, always kind and ready to help us. Located just 15 min from the airport. Superb beach without seaweed. We will return for the 8th time when the country reopens. Some rooms need love but for us it's okay

This is my favorite resort. I've now been at this resort 3 times over the past 14 years and every time I'm impressed at how much it's still the same. I love to go to Cuba and have tried different resorts in different cities and nothing compares to Tryp. The staff, the beach (no weeds, white powder sand, lots of beach chairs and huts, clean), plenty of food selection and all the food I've tasted is yummy, so many restaurant options. Pools are well maintained, rooms are clean and while many look for the modern hotel look I prefer the old Cuban style of the resort. We brought my father in law this time, who is also a Cuba enthusiast and he LOVED this resort and we also brought my daughter and her spouse and the 18 month old baby and all were very happy with food and beach and staff. No shortage of anything, no power outage. Will go back again soon. This is by far the best place to go. BTW, there's a little market about 8 minutes walk, when you walk out the resort turn left on the road, at the roundabout turn right. It's open daily about 11 am - 5 pm and take CAD and USD. There's also a double decker bus that you can take for 5$ USD that goes to all the resorts and pillar beach and to the market (the entire ride is about 1.5 hrs). It's a cheap activity if you want to leave the resort for a few hours but on a budget. It's nice to also visit the other resorts. Pillar beach is spectacular too and worth the visit, there's a restaurant on side for food and beverage. Check the front desk for schdule.
