I visited this resort for 2 weeks with family. I have mixed feelings about my stay.
I’ve stayed here before a few years ago and loved this resort.
My experience this time was quite different.
Pros:
Room was great.
Beach, pool and the resort were beautiful.
Staff was amazing and tried their best to make all guests a good experience.
Cons:
Food was very basic and not very good even for Cuba standards. Same stuff every day for lunch and dinner buffet. Had a few days with no bread or buns. Food was always a mashup of I’m not sure and was usually cold. Everything was covered in oil.
No pop or mix for drinks.
Ran out of pina coladas a few times.
I love Cuba and have visited many times.
You can definitely see the country is struggling.
But as always the people of this beautiful country are amazingly resilient and always lovely to visit and talk to.
