Hi we just came home from Cuba staying at the hotel Terral for 5 nights (3 then 2 nights ) The staff was very helpful , we paid extra to upgrade to a suit with lots of problems .... we was not told of building work and had a broken toilet !! And no power the last morning we was there ! We did get compensated after the great reception staff helped by calling there boss . We did find out the last day they had a sister hotel but was never offered to stay there with all that went on , also being told it was more in the centre of Havana, if you Travel to Havana I recommend you do not stay at this hotel until all works are finished ! But we made the most of what we had & thank you to all the staff not the management!!!

paid and had reservations at the Hotel Terral in Havana Cuba. Upon arrival, I was taken to the Hotel Telegrapha. I was informed that the Hotel Terral was and had been closed for 2 months and that this was their sister hotel. The Hotel Telegrapha was located in an entirely different part of Havana. It was a old hotel compared to the new hotel that I paid for. There was mold on the hallway walls. The floor carpet in the hallway was never vacuumed during my stay. My bedding and towels were never changed out during a weeks stay. I was supposed to have free WIFI. But it was not available at the Hotel Telegrapha. I had to buy 1 hour WIFI cards to access the internet. However, these cars were unavailable for 3 of the days I was there. When I called the lobby early one morning I did not get an answer. I went downstairs and found the hotel staff asleep in the lobby on the lobby couches and chairs. I also discovered a stick through the front lobby door to prevent anyone from entering. Definitely a fire hazard. The breakfast that was included served hotdogs for breakfast sausage. The hotel restaurant itself did not have 7 out of 8 sandwiches on the menu. It did not have 4 of the main entrees. It did not have 3 out of 4 deserts. I paid to stay at a hotel that was closed even when I placed my reservations. I was never informed of this at anytime before arrival to allow me to cancel or change to a hotel of my choosing. I was forced to stay not of my choosing and was unable to make any changes. I believe that this is bait and switch in a foreign country making me feel not only being robbed but held against my will.

Stayed close and decided to eat here one night and returned the next. Friendly staff who worked hard to make all of the visitors welcome. Clean and modern and situated on the Malecon. WiFi was excellent and reasonably priced unlike many places with a higher rating in Havana. Food was good although a little limited (which is not unusual for Cuba) and a menu of the day was offered at a very reasonable price.
