Avanti Hotel

Lovely hotel, very short walk to the beach and nice walkable distance to the harbour area. Great bus service with bus stops close by the hotel. We bought a day ticket a couple of times and used the bus to go down to the harbour area for food at night. There are plenty of places to eat at. The Italian over the road from the hotel had lovely food and the waiters were great and very good humoured too. Breakfasts at the hotel were nice with enough choice for what we wanted and plenty of seating areas inside and out. The staff always cleared our tables quickly and were very polite. Room was lovely, spacious with comfy beds and always spotlessly clean with the option of clean towels daily . The ladies who cleaned our room were always very smiley and pleasant. On arrival we had some wine left in our room requested by our travel agent through the hotel so that was really nice and a lovely surprise. Our room was at the side so we looked out across a field to the Avanti village and it wasn’t noisy at all. Full sunshine in the morning but a little cooler in the afternoon to sit and have a read and a drink. Nice outdoor pool area and sunbeds , I used the indoor pool a few times, although small, it was nice to get in from the hot sun at times! We caught a little bit of the entertainment on arrival back at the hotel at night, there was a male singer one night who was really good but generally it was pretty quiet most nights and there didn’t seem a lot of people around which was a shame for the entertainers The trees and shrubs in the garden area down to the pool were kept really lovely and well looked after by the gardeners Finally, we must give the lovely reception staff a big mention, Angela and Zoe ⭐ ⭐ were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble , we asked some obvious questions but they never made us feel silly for asking! We didn’t realise we could use English plugs and so took all the usual adaptors with us but we found we were unable to plug our electric toothbrush in and tried to buy adaptors at the local supermarket but they still weren’t suitable . We mentioned this to Angela and she bought two of her own in from home for us and told us to keep one for future use! What a lovely lady, really going the extra mile, both of these ladies were so helpful and are a great asset to the Avanti hotel. On arrival you will feel the Avanti warmth with a friendly and knowledgeable greeting, during your stay you will feel like a VIP through their amazing service, and on the day you are destined to go home you will be totally grief stricken to say goodbye to what feels like your family now. The ladies on reception are wonderful, no question is a daft question and their knowledge is phenomenal, they take as much time as it needs to explain things to you so that you understand, everything from buses and places to eat to embarrassingly how do I open the patio door :/ and if you go armed with banter prepare to leave the desk laughing with life long friends because I am sure you will return, this hotel is truly addictive. The staff in the Dionysus Bar, particularly Sylvia and Ali don't just serve drinks, they are so full of fun and jokes too, we enjoyed a great many laughs, memories which we will carry with us for a very long time. Breakfast is beautifully spread out, indoor and outdoor seating plus, eating in still feels like eating Al Fresco. The whole hotel is beautifully clean, well maintained and it's just a stones throw away from the beach and a lovely scenic walk along the coast to the harbour making it idyllically situated and a must if you're planning to stay in Pathos. Last year was our first visit and we rebooked within a week of arriving home, this year we were sat by the pool and my husband was looking to book for next year, such is the warmth and addiction to the Avanti Hotel and its amazing staff. We really couldn't imagine going anywhere else ever again.

Absolutely lovely hotel, spotlessly clean. Fantastic service and the staff were extremely welcoming. Food and drink were incredible. Daniela in the bar had us laughing. Katia was lovely on fourth floor housekeeping always made our room clean. Angela, Zoe and Katrina on reception were always extremely helpful and lovely. Restaurant staff laid out a fantastic breakfast buffet. We really didn't want to go home and will definitely be back there next year
