Orea Hotel Monty

Beautiful hotel in an incredible location absolutely poorly run. We arrived for 2 weeks, booked 2 larger rooms for 4 people. Place was advertised by Sanatoriums (on youtube and their web) as a 4 star hotel with great services and chefs meals. We had all inclusive packages. Upon arrival everything went wrong, one of our rooms had a couch that was peed all over (place allows pets) second room given had a loading deck right under the window, where truck would come start unloading from 4am, not allowing for any sleep, absolutely horrible very scarce selection of food, very serous hygiene issues at the restaurant/buffet, very low quality services. We tried to go to the assigned baths, that apparently don't even have any salt/minerals added and were just bubble baths, where my sister discovered a lot of human hair and skin remains swimming in her bath, she left immediately. I'm not even going to write about extremely unprofessional doctor, who didn't even care to ask about anything health related... Extremely rude personnel that just disregards any asks or concerns. When we voiced out concerns and asked for a refund for an unused portion, we were denied, claiming we were acting arrogant and had unrealistic, inflated expectations. I don't think that expecting a clean room where one can have a restful sleep, or edible fresh food (without hair and that wouldn't cause stomach issues), or a clean med area is Inflated by any means. I can continue writing more, regarding each separate interaction and incident but I won't be wasting your time, because I think the picture is pretty clear. After all that stress and intimidation from the hotel itself (after posting a google review and complaining to the hotel) we had to leave 7 days earlier, no refunds or compensation were issued.

We can't rate the food and the rooms because we were only allowed to use the spa area and the fitness room. We were in another hotel but it didn't have a large spa area so we were allowed to go. However, it was a disaster every time to get into the spa area. Our hotel, on the other hand, said that just showing our room card was enough. We were then told that we needed an appointment and a special ticket. The next time, however, we got in without the ticket. This was accompanied by arguments, refusal of entry and new rules every day. When you go into the pool you only get a tiny towel. We asked if we could get a larger towel and they said no. The lady got really aggressive when we said we didn't know that otherwise we would have brought our towels with us. You can't dry yourself completely with such a tiny towel and if you then have to walk 1km back to your hotel, it's a bit stupid. My husband grabbed a small towel and asked if we could at least get 2 small towels. The lady stormed over and ripped the towel out of his hand and got angry. Everyone else stood around and shook their heads and said she was always like that. It was really strange to behave like that over a towel. The staff also seemed very stressed and rude. There were also two nice encounters, hence 2 stars. The pool is quite cold and so is the hall. The saunas are nice but nothing special. The relaxation room is very cold.

Not everything was bad, but one negative point has to be mentioned. We didn't get anything to drink with dinner twice. The service was completely overwhelmed. It wasn't possible to have a drink in the bar afterwards either, as it was closed during dinner.
