Hotel Donatello

This so called hotel is a disgrace, first night bed collapsed reported and told it would be sorted, second night bed collapsed again, reported there and then, told by staff, you and your wife will have to dismantle said bed and sleep on the mattresses on the floor. Asked for new room, told none available but would promised a full and total refund, still waiting, and have since been told that the hotel will not honour their promise to make matters worse they have told me that they have no record of our stay, although they have all booking details. I am not taking this lying down as I have been in contact with the Czech Embassy and their tourist office in London who have been very helpful and they have said that they are going to take my complaint very seriously. So to all who have problems with this hotel contact the Czech Embassy, or their London tourism office.

Stayed for 4 nights my husband and I from Jan 5th. Hotel is in need of a facelift but is cleaned every day, close enough to most of the attractions or only a short tram ride away. We had room no26 and the only problem we had was the safety box didn't work it had no locking system in it ! . We booked b+b but we never went for breakfast so we can't comment on how it was . Overall , ok for a few nights stay if your looking for a cheap break.

This hotel is cheap but still not worth what they are asking you to pay. Prague is beautiful though. Hotel rooms tiny, like a corridor noisy from each side and the street, mouldy bathroom, stained carpet and furniture bed was so uncomfortable had to sleep side to side floor wonky just a real shame breakfast very very basic. This didn’t ruin our time here though xx
