Downskirt youth hostel without air conditioning. Free parking, amazingly good breakfast, which is not the rule in the Czech Republic. The young staff is friendly and endeavourful. For similar money, you get much better rooms in the Capitol.

I slept at this hotel because we had some renovations going on in our house and I'm pregnant I can't be around strong paint and dust, on entering I was hit by a strong urine & excrement smell, I opened the bathroom and saw the toilet drain was not well sealed, it was actually quite open, and the carpet smelt mouldy and wet too, it's the middle of winter but I had to open the window as I couldn't breathe, This is around 4-5 pm In February, I decided to take a shower and noticed very quickly that all my bathroom water during and after shower just flowed all the way to the carpet! wanted to go ask for a new room but since I had gotten inside the beddings in this room as it was quite cold, I didn't want to trouble them so I closed the window and decided to stay. I slept around 1am! I stayed in room 808, crazy apart was when I was checking out I tried to tell the guy at the reception that the bathroom & toilet drain needed to be fixed he just SHUSHED ME, (brushed me off) and refused to listen to me telling me - okay okay okay walking away, several times, it's like he knew that room was like that before giving it to me. Better go to the other hotel in Most than this dump. Never again. Worst experience ever!

I stayed at Cascade hotel for two nights. It is typical communist building, with that-time architecture. One has a feeling it all stayed original from times it was built. Seems they changed elevators, and repaint the walls every 10 years and that was it. It is not a good example of keeping old memories alive. Rather making the most money from what the worn out hotel can give. To start from the beginning. Doors to the room are wobbely, keylock loose, door handle loose. After you lock the doors they still are not firmly closed, but are locked. Inside all the sockets were loose and dangerous. Water tap was rusty and broken (seen on fotos). Bathroom door bent and beat up. Shower cabin door ripped out of the rails, hanging on upper wheels only. Wall paint stained, dirty and needed repainting long ago. TV set in a size of computer monitor. Torn fabric on a table seat. Beds were too narrow, too short for average guy like me. Am 177 cm high but bed was bit too short. Must have been 80x190cm small. Matraces were hard and uneven and worn out, pillows small and flat, blanket foo small. Food for breakfast was ok. The german Pensionist (obviously main guest at that time) enjoyed it fully. I particularly liked americano coffee from the machine. There was no gluten free bread available (didn‘ even bother to ask) so I took corn flakes. For dinner I ate steak from the menu. It was ok, nothing great about it tho. Fair. Parking is around the hotel. No garage. You’ll find cash machine in foyer. Staff was really friendly and helpfull. Very pleasant and polite people. But still wouldn‘t book this hotel again unless I had to.
