Friendly staff, clean and well furnished room and facilities. Well furnished and versatile breakfast. All in all good price for a good stay.

Upon arrival we asked about the possibility of getting 2 smaller rooms instead of 1 large without further cost. We asked directly several times if there were any additional costs and got confirmed that it was not. Rooms are paid in advance and we paid. Upon check-out we will be informed that we must pay for 1 room more. We get no hearing and have to pay for 1 room more. We were 5 people who heard the same. If that was the case, we would have paid for 2 rooms immediately upon check-in and not afterwards. Poor customer service. The rooms we got were worn, bad toilet and shower with mold in. Disappointing.

KOMPAS Hotel has a very comfortable atmosphere both on their website, but also in person. It's a very good price for what you get. I paid about 1000 NOK for one night with breakfast included. Something I was not aware of was that you had to initially notify if you were to check in after 23:00, but even though I came late I was greeted by friendly staff who were extremely helpful. Definitely recommended if you need accommodation in Ålborg in a medium price category!
