Punta Cana Princess All Inclusive

The road that gives access to the hotel is terrible and full of holes. The beach is nice but there was a significant amount of algae on the shore and it wasn't cleared to give access to the water. The room was very good, spacious and with the right amount of facilities to keep you comfortable (jacuzzi, coffee, tea and mini bar, which was refilled everyday). The hotel was clean; however, the room wasn't cleaned daily. We had to ask for it to be cleaned once and there was a day that it wasn't cleaned at all. The worst aspect of the hotel was the service. I had to ask for an extra pillow 3 times in one day! In the restaurants and bars, if you didn't tip the waiters, they didn't seem to keen to serve you. Also, information from the receptions wasn't always accurate. The food in the restaurants were OK. Breakfast was good, mainly the boy who made omelettes, I believe his name is Deivi. He's always had a smile on his face even without a tip! Overall, the stay was good even if could have been better. The weather was reasonable - not too hot and there was always a breeze. I don't tend to go back to places I visit and I definitely won't be back to the Dominican Republic.

It is my eighth time in Punta Cana. I am staying at Punta Cana Princess. Mediocre service. Very bad buffet. Food quality was terrible. Staff service, with a few exceptions, is terrible. The pool bar waiters are unpleasant... I love this country, but I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone... it is terrible... one of the worst in Punta Cana. Choose any other hotel, Bahia Principe, Ocean, Catalonia, Palladium; this one has too many stars for the money you pay....

We really liked our stay. Nice little site, very clean, quiet. Very comfortable room. The buffet was good, the desserts at the buffet were really very good. Their cappuccino is excellent. No need for reservations for the à la carte restaurants, which are by the way very good with good service. Even a fondue restaurant with a very friendly manager. The cocktails were good, the wine was decent. But we could buy bottles at an affordable price. The only hitch, regarding the hotel, is the sargassum at this time of year; they can't keep up with cleaning it up and it stretches for miles, we had never seen that in our lives. Otherwise it would be a nice long place to walk. We would go back.
