We are currently here with friends….our 2nd visit which will be our last! The service is pretty poor…bars at the pools running out of coke…it’s a syrup! Staff’s attitude have sprite & come back tomorrow. Food is pretty poor to be honest…breakfast is probably the best meal of the day. Food is way overcooked and tepid at best . Speciality restaurants we’ve tried so far…Mediterranean and Japanese…3/10 and that’s being generous. Japanese had no soft drink option other than water. Waterpark coffee machine broken & again staff attitude is far from acceptable. We’re so disappointed this hotels standards have lapsed since our last visit which is a shame as we were bringing the extended family back next year. We’ll stick to Mexico.

Our stay at the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana was, without question, one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have encountered. Based entirely on our personal experience, this resort fell significantly short of the five-star luxury standard it advertises. Having travelled extensively and stayed in numerous four and five-star resorts worldwide, we believe this property failed to meet the level of quality, service and attention to detail that guests are entitled to expect. Our disappointment began the moment we arrived at our room. The door had been left open and would not close properly, immediately raising concerns about both security and basic quality control. The room had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard, with clear signs that housekeeping had been inadequate before our arrival. Although these issues were eventually addressed after intervention from the TUI representatives, guests paying for a premium five-star holiday should not have to report fundamental problems immediately upon arrival. Throughout the remainder of our stay, housekeeping standards remained inconsistent, and the accommodation itself appeared tired, dated, poorly maintained and in urgent need of refurbishment. The food was another significant disappointment. Guests should be aware that basic dining provisions were frequently unavailable, including condiments such as salt and pepper and standard utensils such as teaspoons. This reflects a lack of operational control and attention to guest needs that is unacceptable for a resort of this claimed standard. Attention to detail was lacking throughout the dining experience. Food labelling was frequently inaccurate or misleading; for example, dishes labelled as “Chicken Tikka” were, on occasion, entirely different meals such as brown stew chicken. The buffet offered repetitive menus, much of the food was only lukewarm, and quality fell well below expectations. Even something as simple as ordering freshly cooked eggs regularly involved waiting around fifteen minutes. The speciality restaurants, including the Brazilian, Italian and Japanese venues, also failed to deliver the quality and dining experience one would reasonably expect from a luxury all-inclusive resort. Dining became something we endured rather than enjoyed. The drinks service was equally disappointing. During the first two days of our stay, premium branded spirits were readily available. Thereafter, many of those same brands repeatedly became unavailable due to being out of stock. The cocktails and alcoholic drinks included within the all-inclusive package consistently tasted weak and lacked the quality associated with a five-star premium resort. While we cannot comment on how the drinks were prepared, the overall experience did not reflect the standard that guests are led to expect. Customer service represented one of the resort’s greatest shortcomings. While a small number of staff members were genuinely outstanding, far too many bar staff appeared disinterested, dismissive and, on occasions, openly unfriendly. Rather than feeling welcomed as paying guests, we frequently felt like an inconvenience. In our opinion, this level of customer service is wholly inconsistent with the standards expected within the hospitality industry, particularly at a resort marketed as five-star luxury. The check-in experience unfortunately set the tone for the rest of our holiday. Communication was poor, organisation appeared lacking, and the overall arrival process felt chaotic, inefficient and unprofessional. In fairness, there are positive aspects of the resort. The grounds are beautifully maintained, featuring stunning tropical gardens, mature palm trees and colourful wildlife that create a picturesque environment. We would also like to recognise Joanna and Jefferson, along with a small number of other staff, whose professionalism, kindness and genuine care stood out throughout our stay. They consistently provided exceptional customer service and made guests feel genuinely valued. Their conduct reflects the standard of professionalism that should be consistently upheld across the resort. Unfortunately, the professionalism shown by a small number of staff could not compensate for the resort’s wider shortcomings. In our opinion, poor overall management, inconsistent housekeeping, disappointing food quality, ageing accommodation, stock shortages and inconsistent customer service combined to create an experience that fell considerably below the expectations created by the resort’s marketing. Based solely on our personal experience, we do not believe the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana delivers the genuine five-star luxury experience it advertises. We left feeling disappointed, frustrated and convinced that the overall holiday represented poor value for money. We would not recommend this resort to travellers seeking a true five-star all-inclusive experience. We strongly encourage anyone considering booking to review a broad range of recent independent feedback before making a decision and to compare alternative resorts offering similar pricing, many of which appear to provide substantially higher standards of accommodation, food, cleanliness and customer service. We also formally request that Yarimel Quezada Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Team or Reylizabeth Salas (Risk and Claims Assistant) reviews and addresses genuine customer concerns with due diligence and professionalism, rather than issuing generic responses. It is essential that legitimate complaints are properly investigated and acted upon in accordance with expected industry standards. I am happy to discuss as staying on the resort until Friday room 1201.

These reviews gave me such anxiety for a trip I spent months looking forward too, and let me tell you, PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS!!! We had the most amazing time, we got welcomed with welcome drinks, we got checked in right away, they took our luggage of our hands the second we got of the coach & delivered them to our room, it is so relaxing the staff are amazing of course there’s some unhappy staff but isn’t that like most places? The buffet is hit n miss, earlier the better! Earlier the fresher, staff seem to be more caring & helpful, there is something for everyone! (I’m extremely fussy too) I also highly recommend to book in for the restaurants! They are phenomenal! (Italian was our favourite) The pool is huge! And there are lifeguards on poolside! And goes as deep as 6.8ft. Im 4’11 poor swimmer and managed just fine, the upkeep of our rooms was hit n miss sometimes would be cleaned first thing, sometimes not till 5pm, beds get changed every 2 days. But be careful leaving cash out! They will take it as tip. we left a $10 tip on the table for them without a note and they did take it so just be cautious! The pool bar can get overcrowded but what do you expect? It’s a bar! Just like a pub bar. The beach, yes it’s full of seaweed but it’s seaweed season, you pay for what you get! However we booked a buggy trip and they took us to the most beautiful beach and that certainly gave us what we were looking for white sands blue ocean, please don’t change your hotel just give it a chance! We were all worried just to come home with the most amazing memories. And well rested. The pool is clean! The only time it was a little dirty was when a storm hit! When there’s a storm (normally overnight) the pool collects flowers and leafs and right away the pool team is cleaning it, the WiFi goes down for a while but not for long, also! The shops in the hotel is very overpriced so do be aware it is double priced, it’s very handy, but if you walk onto the beach the far end, close to the vip club pool area there’s 2 shops and they’re a lot cheaper you do have to haggle!!!! They tried charging us $65 but we ended up paying $30 for 5 gifts!!! They’re super friendly! There’s also supermarket clubs & pubs a walk down and to the left at the entrance if you fancy an adventure for extra cheap snacks cost us $11 for 2 big bags of crisps & a drink instead of $30 at the hotel, our experience was amazing and everyone else we spoke to said the same about these reviews and ended up having a great time! The water park is so much fun too!!! It is discoloured & needs some renovations but it’s fun! It’s enjoyable.
