Oldhouse Hostel

We stayed here for 3 nights . Good value for money . 24 hour reception ( but vary in helpfulness .) great place for ferry port , easy to find . 4 showers pretty clean . Room was comfortable and a good size . Beds were good - negative. Sometimes the room felt damp . - negatives . When someone had a shower the toilet floor would get wet also . No shoe policy meant wet socks or bare feet .

Friend and I stayed here on our trip to Tallinn. It was honestly a pretty terrible experience. You cannot wear shoes inside, which would be fine if the place was clean, but it was not. We were both picking hair from previous guests off of our blankets. My friend slept without hers because it was so filthy. The WiFi doesn’t work at all in the room. The bathroom situation is unfortunate. The shower and toilet are in the same room, which means that water is constantly all over the floor from people showering. Since you cannot wear shoes, half the time you go to use the restroom, your feet get wet. We also got locked out for a bit one night because the staff person left the desk and locked the hostel. Guests are not provided with keys to the front door. We were not given any information on when the staff person would return, but fortunately we weren’t locked out that long. The one good thing I will say about the place is that the location is excellent. Easy walk from most things you want to do in Tallinn.

Close to the bus station... also walking distance to old town. Spacious room with no bunk beds, a unique hostel thus... Simple common room ( a bit dark though) with a simple kitchen. 3 bathrooms on the ground floor could be very busy during rush hours ;-)
