Shocking NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT or RESPONSE from Shangri-La Management (CEO Francis), Shangri Circle Membership Contact and Media on my email feedbacks since 2nd July 2026, which made me decide to post my comments in the public platform on 1) Unequal Treatment by Service Staff Throughout our stay, we noticed a stark contrast in how Chinese and Caucasian guests were treated by serving staff during breakfast and dinner especially at Takali Restaurant & Golden Cowrie Restaurant 2) Animal Welfare During our riding time with their horses, we were disturbed to learn about the future planned for Troy. We were informed that once this horse loses his sight completely, he would be abandoned with the left eye already blind. Sai from Animals Fiji contacted them on this matter, to which, Isei Tuidraki, a duty manager at Shangri La told Sai, it was not their concern as the horses belong to the villagers. HOWEVER, we paid Shangri La to ride the horses, not the villagers directly! 3) Lack of transparency on the half board package. The meals do not include the cost of your drinks. We were informed only after we bought the package! 4) The Marine Education Centre is a beautiful asset that deserves far more recognition and support from the resort. It is a pity that such an enlightening and edifying space is not highlighted with information on organised daily guided reef tours or activities like fish house making. And the placement of completed fish houses into the sea, forming sea creatures man made reefs was absolutely enthralling, the resort is missing a major opportunity to engage guests in these fascinating conservation efforts due to a lack of promotion and structure.

Beautiful place to stay. Facilities are super clean and serviced daily to a high standard. Lots of activities on for kids and available to do for everyone such as mini golf tennis kayaking inflatables snorkelling horse riding. Amazing food and catered well for our coeliac family members (thank you to the chef John who helped my husband with this each day, and the other kitchen staff who made my daughter gluten free pancakes each day). Also appreciate the activities coordinator who was so good at running activities for kids, and the ground staff who kept the place beautiful and also cut down coconuts for the kids and weaved them baskets out of the leaves. Also amazing massage at the spa!!!!

Have had a great, relaxing trip here at Shangri-La Fiji resort with a family of 4, alongside another family. We took the all inclusive package. Highlights include the kayaking and water park at the beach, the food at Takuli (loved the Asian food), Laguna and Black Marlin (great steaks), snorkeling at the reef with Rod (he was a great guide with the kids snorkeling), and amazing fishing (just the boys) with Illi and Ace where we caught a barracuda and a Great Trevally. Service across the board in the resort, restaurants and beach staff was fantastic. A nice touch one morning after making the beds with a towel elephant next to the kids soft toys. The Kids Club in the evening kept the kids occupied whilst the adults had a nice grown ups dinner. Would certainly consider coming back another time!
