Sokos Hotel Puijonsarvi

The hotel has a fantastic location. It is very clean, has a breakfast buffet with huge variety of food and very helpful and polite staff. The only minus: the absolute luck of amenities in the rooms, like for example a shower cup.

The hotel is very cozy and clean. The atmosphere is darker but stylish. The room feels newly renovated and has all the basic qualities, like a bathroom with good lighting, clothes hanging space with ironing possibility, a safety locker and a minibar, if there's a need to store own snacks during a week long stay. The room have a double bed which is easy to separate as well. There's an option to have a clean ups during a longer stay. The breakfast buffet was amazing with vast variety of options to choose from! The porridge options and their own made apple jam was just amazing! There's also local cuicine options, like kalakukko, if you're looking for an authentic flavours. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Kuopio and enjoying the breakfast and explore all the flavours. The gym and the saunas on the top floor were a great addition to explore as well.

Quiet, yet well located hotel next to a park. We stayed with a pet and our room number 231 was pretty small. Good breakfast with some local specialities like kalakukko (= fish baked inside a loaf of bread). Staff is friendly and easily approachable.
