Hotel Katajanokka

It was a good experience staying at this ex prison. It has been tastefully renovated and still maintains a bit of the original vibes. Fika and dinner is a big bonus. That being said there is a lot of room for improvement. Our room AC was not powerful, the bathroom had a constant damp smell. The bathtub is dangerously high and slippery (för a petite person) and when using the shower hose all the water runs out the sides and wets the floor.

Good hotel with an exciting history. The hotel has made a great effort to preserve and show the history of the place.

A brilliant hotel with plenty of character and friendly staff! Great value for money, the rooms were to a high standard and food was faultless. Breakfast layout has to be one the best I've experienced! Would 100% book again in the future
