Scandic Hotel Plaza Turku

Unfortunately, I must say that the price and quality do not meet at this hotel. The room was very worn and in need of renovation, the bathroom smelled bad and was rather worn as well. Still, they charged 190 euros plus breakfast 9 euros for one night. In my opinion, that is too much even if the city is full and there is a good demand for rooms.

Scandic Plaza Turku is right in the middle of the city, by the main shopping street, a few hundred meters from the city square so great location. Friendly staff, good and plentiful breakfast with options for diets like vegans and gluten free diet too which is great. We had a standard double room which was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. Bonus points to the staff for giving us a room a bit higher up in the building and with a view of the street which we asked for. Despite being in the city center it was very quiet at night. Would stay again.

I stayed here for business for 2 nights. The location is perfect, right in the centre of town. There are LOADS of restaurants within a very easy walk - maybe a 10 minute gentle stroll. I recommend Harolds! I'm not sure what it would be like in summer as, I'm guessing, due to the location it possibly could be a little noisy. That's pure speculation though and in late March, it was very quiet. I'm sure if you look hard enough, you could find faults with the hotel but, personally, I found it great. I only ate breakfast there and the food choice was huge and everything I tried was very nice. The rooms are warm and comfortable. They're not overly spacious but certainly okay. Definitely no complaints there from me. I found the bed to be comfortable. The gym is well equipped and the sauna (separate male and female) is good too. And then there's the staff. Every single member of staff I spoke with was really helpful and friendly. Overall, definitely a place to be recommended.
