Sokos Torni

Stayed at Torni for a long weekend Friday to Tuesday. When rating I consider room/sleep and breakfast. Room was nice, clean and decent size for a double in Helsinki. I was on the 3rd floor, unfortunately due to hotel location, the noise from local clubs, bars, revving cars and motorcycles, just made it impossible to sleep on Friday and Saturday nights. 3.30 am all goes finally quiet. Subsequent nights were better. Keep in mind if you’re a weekend visitor. Breakfast was nice with good selection.

Whilst we were exceptionally excited to be staying at the Torni for 4 nights as part of our Finland tour, we were bitterly disappointed to say the least! Our room was absolutely freezing, we had to keep stepping outside on the balcony to warm up, I had to wear FOUR layers of clothing and sit in bed with the duvet over me to feel some sort of warmth. The temp control in the room only goes to 23c, I asked reception to allow me to increase it but it was not doable, they then on our 2nd day gave us a heater which heated up the room, but honestly, how inconvenient. It really left a bad vibe with us. The pillows were so thin, I asked for extra firm pillows, we got 2 and they were the same and not any better. I left Torni feeling like I didn't get what I paid for, sour taste in my mouth from the overpriced cocktail on the rooftop bar, a back and neck ache from the uncomfortable pillows, and huge frustration at the hotel. The staff were so lovely that it made it even worse because I wish they could help more.

Was very thrilled with this beautiful hotel. Great room, great bed, great breakfast, great staff. Can't think of an improvement on my stay. Went to rooftop bar as well, amazing views.
