A nice hotel with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The room was clean, the bed was decent, and there was even an extra pillow in the wardrobe, which was a nice touch. It was also quiet, so sleeping was easy.
The shared bathroom/toilet for the single room came as a surprise, but honestly it wasn’t a big issue. Access with the door code was convenient and worked well.
Breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate, and the staff were friendly and pleasant.
The location is a little outside the center, but the free parking was definitely a big plus.

It's no secret hotels are very expensive in Tampere. This small hotel (about 12 rooms) is a SIMPLE 2 star located in a quiet industrial area about 2 km away from downtown that offers clean, quiet rooms for a reasonable price. It's a 30 minute walk or a short bus ride to the downtown area. There are no services, restaurants, or attractions in the immediate area.
Reception is not attended all the time, but "usually" attended during the daytime. Otherwise, everything is done online using your web browser, from registration to payment to getting an entry code for the building and your room. Lots of free parking (the area appears to be quite safe), and complimentary self-serve laundry. Very friendly and hospitable staff (when staff are actually there, which is not always).

The hotel is around a 30-minute walk to the city centre, but there are buses that can drop you off near the hotel (only a 5-minute walk to the nearest bus stop). It's in a slightly unusual location on a kind of industrial estate, but it's quiet and feels safe as you walk around. The keycode system is a little odd - we didn't know if the code for our room would also work to get in to the main building; sometimes it seemed to work, and other times it didn't. This can be quite stressful as the reception desk isn't manned 24 hours a day, so when it didn't work for us late one evening, we panicked a bit. There's no lift, so this isn't a great place for the less mobile or those with heavy bags. I would also have preferred to have a kettle in the room, so you could make hot drinks whenever you wanted without having to walk downstairs. The rooms also aren't very soundproof. The room itself was fairly basic, but the bed was comfortable, though only had one pillow per person. Overall, it's fine for a short stay, especially if you're just looking for a place to rest your head while visiting Tampere for an event. To me, it seemed more like a 2* hotel than 3*.
